Visit historic Willemstad

Curaçao’s vibrant capital, with its colorful historic center, is a must-see. Stroll across the iconic Queen Emma Bridge (the pontoon bridge) that connects the districts of Otrobanda and Punda on either side of Sint Anna Bay, and enjoy views of the brightly colored facades along the way.

Punda is also home to Fort Amsterdam (Forti), the seat of the Curaçao government.

Be sure to explore the lively Pietermaai district, full of charming restaurants, bars, and charming boutique hotels. And don’t miss the round market on Sha Caprileskade—a wonderful place to sample local products and the Curaçaoan atmosphere.

The salt pans of Jan Thiel

The Jan Thiel salt pans, located behind Marbella Estate, were once used to extract salt from seawater. That’s all in the past—the salt lakes are now a haven for flamingos and countless other bird species. Thanks to the tranquility and beautiful scenery, this is an ideal spot for a long walk or a relaxing bike ride.

The route begins at Sorsaka Park and leads to the Jan Thiel lagoon, where you can fully enjoy the unique landscape and serene atmosphere.
